Ruth Scott HD ’97 pens new book

Alfred University honorary alumna and Life Trustee Ruth Scott has authored a book that guides parents and supporters and offers advice on how to instill unshakeable confidence in children.


“Raising Confident Children” is available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and through the book’s publisher, Curry Brothers Publishing. Addressing America's legacy and global challenges, Scott, a noted child development expert, offers essential wisdom for empowering the next generation's success.   

Scott is owner of Scott Associates of Rochester, which she founded in 1988. She provides consulting services to educational institutions, corporations, businesses and governmental units in the areas of inter-cultural communications, economic and personnel development and total quality management. She founded the company in 1988.

Scott served 15 years on the Alfred University Board of Trustees. She was elected to the Board in 1991 and was designated a Life Trustee in 2006.
